The following rules and regulations apply to all participating teams in the Craze Fest KCBS Barbecue Cook-Off. Please read carefully before registering.
ONE member from each team must have ONTARIO Food Safe or equivalent. Please see the Ministry of Health pdf for more information
If you are interested in selling rubs, sauces etc from your site please let us know and we will inform the public to help promote
If you would like your BIO in the BBQ program please send it to us asap so we can include it otherwise only your team name will be mentioned. Bio’s must be to us by May 15, 2017
All teams who are selling their barbecue at the event will be able to purchase additional space in the vending area. There is a flat fee without any profit sharing. Please call or email for more details. All vendors must have a license to sell food and the Township of Georgina will extend your license for the purpose of this event. You are only able to sell what your license permits.
Cancelled team entries are non refundable.
There will be some off site parking for vehicles that do not fit in the allotted space. Once the event begins vehicles will NOT be allowed back on the event grounds until the end of the event
All advertising must be approved by Craze Fest prior to setting up. There are height restrictions and size restrictions to respect City regulations and in consideration of our sponsors
ARRIVAL & CHECK IN
Craze staff will be on site from 10am on Friday June 2nd, We will start directing teams in asap
This will be held on the Saturday morning before the festival begins. This is a mandatory meeting to pick up food containers and for any final instructions
Meat inspection will be available any time after 8:00a.m. on Saturday. Uncooked meat must be kept below 40 degrees. A cooler with ice is acceptable. Cooked food must be kept above 140 degrees. You will be checked periodically to check compliance. There will be ice available for purchase
All teams are asked to participate in this category. There is no fee for a team to enter . Craze Fest will provide the chicken wings (on the Saturday) and Butt (on the Sunday). Tokens will be sold to the public on both days. The winner of People’s choice will be a tally of ALL votes and the 3 winner will receive 20% of the pot with 80% staying with the Festival to pay for the supplies.
Teams are required to have ALL their own supplies such as (but not limited to) cooking ingredients, individual cooking devices, utensils, preparation tables, fire extinguishers, etc. Provided for you is a regulation cooking area and water (on site, but not to every space). Please advise if you need power. All contestants MUST adhere to all electrical, fire, other codes, and rules set forth by the Township of Georgina.
